DASNY 300 Jay Street

300 Jay Street is part of the CUNY City tech Campus. DASNY decided to commence multiple campus-wide improvements led by Urbahn Architects.  Part of their scope was to rehabilitate the elevator and bring it up to code. Statiker personnel were responsible for the design of the new accessible elevator machine room which was designed after a forensic field review and study resulting in a vertical expansion. In addition, we were required e to perform a forensic analysis to calculate the ability of the roof to resist the new loads. We also were responsible for the reinforcement of the roof as well as the design of the steel stairs and platform for access to the elevator machine room.  are.
